Drink 6-8 glasses of room temperature tap water a day
Avoid fruit juices
Marie says there is certain evidence to suggest that Omega-3 oils may have an anti-inflammatory effect. Omega-3 rich foods include oily fish such as sardines, pilchards and mackeral.
Eat organic meat
Eat well cooked vegetables - "Avoid the cabbage family - particularly onions, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and brussel sprouts. Eat carrots courgettes, mushrooms, potatoes (no skins). She (Jini Patel) also suggests pumpkin, yams and plantain, asparagus and artichokes" .
Cut out salads as the raw ingredients may be hard to digest
To minimise bloating and gas, eat as few tomato based products as possible.
Avoid pickles and chutneys
Herbs and spices Marie recommends in cookery include the following: "Use basil, oregano, coriander, thyme, tarragon, fennel, rosemary, Hungarian paprika (non spicey) and tumeric".
" Salt is fine except when you have mouth ulcers."
Eat rice and quinoa
Avoid gluten in products
Avoid garlic, ginger, cumin and other hot spices and spicy foods.
Try to avoid chemical is foodstuffs. Where possible, eat organically.
Avoid articicial sweeteners
Avoid fried foods
Suggested fruits are bananas, peeled apples, mangoes and watermelon. Marie eats avocados too.
